Dr John Lee graduated from National University of Singapore in 2011 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).
He achieved dual accreditation in both Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine. He served as an Obstetric Anaesthesiologist in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital from 2019 to 2020 and subsequently as an Anaesthesiologist and Intensivist in Singapore General Hospital from 2020 to 2025. He has a special interest in high-risk obstetrics and major abdomino-pelvic surgery.
Dr Lee was a Clinical Assistant Professor with the DUKE-NUS Medical School, where he was the Clinical Programme Coordinator for the Anaesthesiology rotation. He was also the Medical Student Director within the Singhealth DUKE-NUS Anaesthesiology & Perioperative Sciences Academic Clinical Programme.
Apart from his academic contributions, Dr Lee also served as the co-chair of the SGH Campus Code Blue Committee from 2024 to 2025.
